We stayed over night at Curryong in Victoria. It was touch and go to get accommodation for the night, as there were so many of us bike enthusiasts on this pilgrimage.
The tourer Ducatis I was travelling with did have a much larger tank capacity and range, so I had to fill up more often. The last leg of this day trip was the long way round the hills to catch some more twisties, but that also meant more spirited riding and less townships. By this time my petrol was deminishing quickly and Big Al's Multistrada with its topbox and panniers created a good slipstream for me to get to the next stop for a refill. The only trouble was: no fuel!
Closed!
So we just coasted into Curryong...17.28 litre! Hmmm...made it!
The picture was taken the next morning at breakfast with the Ducati Boys Chris, Tony and Al. The owner-baker was also one of us (pilgrims that is) ...he'd just returned from his stay on the hill near Siberia (the camp site by the track).
