Meeting Ulyssians

Last night I went to my first Ulysses meeting. New members have to hold a speech...

"In 1978 at the IOM I watched this elderly woman step off her BMW. I thought to myself...hmm...I hope I'm doing this still when I'm her age...I reckon I am now a couple of years older than she was then. I guess I'm livin' the dream!"

Another lady rider introduced herself telling us that she rode a bike to school at 16. She rode to her new school, a catholic school and little did she know that she arrived inside the gate right in front of the Head Nun (or whatever she may have called herself). She wore her school uniform, but the headmistress spoke up when she took her helmet off to put the bonnet on. So she goes..."and your parents let you ride that thing?"

"No," she answered a little too quickly, "I pushed it all the way here"...

She got expelled.

Now, that was quite a story!
