Soft Sponge

My weekend had been planned for a while, so unfortunately I was unable to be in two places at once, which meant that I had to give the monthly a miss...once again! Since last year I had intended to join a few of my close friends on a trip to Tassie, but an important career move came my way and suddenly taking time off was out of the question. So i decided I'd join them just for the day on their trip South. We took off...no, let me start that sentence again: They took off at 7pm from Albion Park and I got there 5 minutes later to encounter a bike-less car park...doh!

Catching up was fun.

I arrived in time to see them get off their bikes at Bewong Truckstop...

We made our way down to Tathra, Bega for lunch, up via Brown Mountain to Cooma, where I had to decide whether I should take a sicky or brave the deadly Hume... the job won.

The weather did not hold back! We had anything from drizzle, pouring rain, to thickest fog on the mountain and lovely warm sunshine all the way back via Robertson and down the freezing Macquarie Pass and then last but not least up the coastal F6 home.

What a day! I'm yet to work out how far I rode that day, but I was buzzing when I got home. After 28 alcohol free days I truly enjoyed that glass of chilled vino...

PS: Those buggers are sending me all these amazing ride photos on my phone, making me green with envy... Ahh well: Such is life...
Here's a sample of those...aaarrgh, I am envyous!
