Motoshow...all cashed up and nowhere to go

Now here is a bike I enjoy looking at. Did not get to sit on it, but I could imagine that it would suit me to a T.

More KTM dreams

Nice bold design here. RC8..racey...

The Sydney Motorcycle Show produced very little satisfaction. My GRO shift was (as usual) a good opportunity to give something back to the 'club' and I must have handed out some 70 or 80 broshures in my 3 1/2 hours of chatting to female and male riders. I even had some visitors from the IR, which was really neat. Thanks for dropping in!

It was great to get in before the crowds and get my ear molds done on the spot as well as being able to talk to non-jaded sales staff, who looked a little more stressed out by the time I made my second round at the end of the shift.

My shopping list included a camelback hydration system, a back protector, a new helmet and a summer jacket, none of which had been ticked off by the time I cruised down towards the car park exit.

MCA had a sale in one of the pavillions, but none of their jackets took my fancy. One of the shark helmets, sporting a matt off white and gold design had the price tag I was willing to accept, but there was none left in my size. No other gear matched my list. The only other thing I bought was my latest 'bikie chic' T-shirt (an annual event). Their stock looks great and wears well...even their diamonties stay on the fabric under rugged leather jackets and survive the washing machine.
I came away with the afore mentioned ear molds (they work sooo well! I wore them around the house to try them out and when I removed them I thought there was a car idling in my driveway, but it was just our fridge...) a renewed 2009 GRO membership, a couple of brochures and a Ducati poster.

Disappointing!

I want more accessories to be exhibited next year!

Yeah, I'm disappointed in the shows too. The problem is that they are on at the wrong time of the year. The new '09 models are coming out in Europe now and our shows are still showing the '08 models.

And the accessory companies aren't helping either.
